Speaker Bios:

Joseph Batir, Ph.D. is the Lead Geothermal Geoscientist at Teverra, specializing in data mining, thermal resource
characterization, numerical modeling, geospatial analysis, and risk mitigation for drilling and development. Has led geothermal projects globally, spanning low-temperature, high-temperature, and EGS applications, collaborating with labs, universities, and energy companies. Holds a B.Sc. in Geology from Southern Illinois University, a M.Sc. in Geothermal Energy, and a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Southern Methodist University.

Sireesh Dadi, Ph.D. is the Manager of Data Acquisition and Advanced Analytics at Fervo Energy, leading efforts to optimize Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) operations through seismic monitoring, fiber optic sensing, and advanced diagnostics. Formerly a Geophysicist at BP, contributing to Gulf of Mexico operations and subsurface imaging advancements. Holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Texas A&M University and was named a Clean Energy Leadership Fellow in 2021.

Nori Nakata, Ph.D. is Staff Scientist in the Energy Geosciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Holds degrees in engineering from Kyoto University and a Ph.D. from Colorado School of Mines, where he received the endenhall Prize. Awarded the Early Career Scientist Award by the IUGG. His research spans geophysics, volcanism, machine learning, wave phenomena, and seismology. Previously held positions at Stanford, the University of Oklahoma, and MIT.

Alain Bonneville, Ph.D. is a Geophysicist with 35+ years of experience in geothermal energy, CO2 storage, and geophysical exploration. Former Laboratory Fellow at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, leading multi-institutional research projects, and full professor at the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris. Author of 110+ Earth science publications, courtesy professor at Oregon State University, and member of the Washington State Academy of Sciences. Holds an M.S. in Petroleum Geophysics from IFP-School and a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of Montpellier.
